Usage:  

It is one of the important spices. It is often shared with citronellol and phenethyl alcohol. It is the basic spice for various rose essences and geraniol oils. It is widely used in floral essences, especially roses. It can also be used in limited quantities in the flavors of tuberose, fragrant roland, acacia, neroli, violet, osmanthus, ylang-ylang, carnation, magnolia, etc.

It can also be used in suitable amount of edible flavors such as apple, apricot, strawberry, raspberry, plum, peach, honey, cherry, etc.

It can also be used in the preparation of food, soap, and fragrance for daily cosmetics. Products made from natural essential oils, formulated foods, and daily cosmetic flavors, contain more than 90% geraniol, and when used in soap flavors, contain more than 80% geraniol. Industrial products Geraniol and nerol are raw materials for the manufacture of vanillin, vanillin, citral, hydroxyvanillin and ionone

It can also be used as a raw material for the synthesis of vitamin E
