It is widely used in soap flavors

It is can be used in soap, detergent, rose, geraniol, hyacinth, incense, sandalwood and other fragrances used in daily industrial products, and can also be used to prepare artificial geraniol oil.

Because diphenyl ether is relatively stable to alkalis, it is mostly used  suitable for the preparation of floral makeup cosmetics, deodorants, etc.

It is further as a chemical intermediate in the production of surface-active agents and hightemperature lubricants.

It is also used in the production of Decabromodiphenyl oxide, also used as a high-temperature heat carrier, and also used in the manufacture of dyes and organic synthesis intermediates
